Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Passes and Admission

The Orlando Bear Bash 2011 run pass is required to attend on-site events. On-site events are the events that are scheduled to take place at our host hotel. Because catered meals and alcohol are included in many of our on-site events and provided by the host hotel, you will need your pass to enter any of the event areas.

People without event run passes are welcome to meet up with Orlando Bear Bash participants at any of the participating bars on our bar crawl. We encourage you to join us at our off site events. Events in community venues that are not held at The Radisson Resort Orlando-Celare open to the general public and non-run pass holders.

We are pleased to announce that the Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration is enabling us to sell day passes for Saturday events. The pass can be purchased in advance on our website for $40. The pass includes admission into the Saturday events including the pool party and BBQ and the BLU (Bear, Leather, Uniform) Ball.

No. There will be no event passes available at the door. Passes must be purchased by September 10, 2011. No passes will be available for sale after this date. Passes purchased after August 27, 2011 may not receive all run/swag bag items.

The reason no passes will be available at the door are due to the fact the pass includes catered meals. As with any hotel, we need to have a firm head count in to the hotel prior to the event.

Please book as early as possible so that you are not left out.

Questions about Parking and Entry

Parking for the events is both on-site and free. All guests will park on the side of, or behind, the Radisson's Convention Center.

The entrance to all events will be through Mandolin's. Registration and the vendor fair will be in Mandolin's as well.

Transporation and Getting Around

Clothing and Attire

According to weather.com the temperatures in sunny Orlando, FL in September range from a high of 90 degrees (F) to a low of 72 degrees (F). We suggest clothing that will enable you to be comfortable in these temperatures.

The BLU Ball will be held at The Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration in Mandolin's. Mandolin's is considered a public venue so Florida public decency laws apply. We encourage everyone to wear street legal fetish gear such as leather, Levi's, harnesses, uniforms, etc...

Pre-comers (early arrival bears)

The Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration has generously agreed to extend our discounted rate of $85 (including resort tax and maid fees) for 3 days prior and 3 days after the main event (Thursday - Sunday).

The pre-comers are a group of bears that take advantage of this rate and come in early to mingle with the other pre-comers or to visit the many attractions in Orlando with smaller groups of bears.

YES. There are several distinct advantages to coming in early and the guests who do consistently tell us that they had a great time doing so.

Foremost, Orlando is a world class tourist city and, although we are very proud of our packed schedule of events, we don't even come close to showing you all of what Orlando has to offer. Arriving early and staying late enables you explore the city on your own.

Second, the pre-comer events enable you to see some of the attractions outside the hotel with smaller groups of bears. For the shy bears this is a great way to get to know some of the men in town in much smaller groups than when the event is in full swing.

Orlando is a world class tourist destination with tons of theme parks and attractions. Our area info. (click here) page lists just a few of Orlando's world class attractions. In addition to Orlando's theme parks and world famous International Drive, Orlando is also ranked by The Advocate as the 4th gayest city in the USA. Indeed, Orlando features at least 13 gay bars and restaurants.
